At WOI-TV in Des Moines, he served as a sports anchor and reporter before moving to WISC-TV in Madison, Wisconsin, to continue in the same role. He later joined WTLV-TV in Jacksonville, Florida, as a weekend anchor. In Fort Worth, Texas, he worked as the sports director and weeknight sports anchor for KTVT-TV.
